ES Reading Genres: Poetry

undefined

Poetry is a type of literature that attempts to stir a reader's imagination or emotions. The author writes to entertain you and chooses and arranges language for its meaning, sound, and rhythm. Poetry can be written in different ways -- some poems rhyme and some don't. Poems make you think about your feelings and create a picture in your head. Poetry books are located in the 821 section of nonfiction in our library.
