Jarrett J. KrosoczkaJarrett J. Krosoczka was raised by his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Shirley, in Worcester, Massachusetts. A curious child, Jarrett drew often and feverishly. Joseph and Shirley recognized this in young Jarrett and supported his creative efforts, most notably through classes at the Worcester Art Museum. Jarrett’s innate ability to draw was handed down to him through his mother and in turn, his grandfather. Joseph, a self-made man, instilled in Jarrett the importance of hard work. This virtue, along with Jarrett’s wish to make a career from the gift he was given, drove him to succeed. In many ways, what he does for a living is only an extension of how he spent his school-day afternoons—drawing and dreaming.
