Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere, such as in the United States. It is a day of prayer, celebration and remembrance of life and death. People dress up, hold parades and parties, sing and dance, and make offerings to lost loved ones.
