The Action Buddies Program at the Western Academy of Beijing (WAB) is a cross-grade partnership initiative designed to foster meaningful connections between students and inspire collective action on global issues within our local context. Rooted in WAB’s commitment to Belonging and Environmental Sustainability, the program pairs Elementary and Secondary students to learn, collaborate, and take action together in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Each Action Buddy pairing works alongside a community partner organization connected to their shared theme, such as biodiversity, social entrepreneurship, or sustainable agriculture. Through guided sessions, students explore real-world challenges, engage in hands-on activities, and reflect on how individual and collective choices can create positive impact.
