Service Learning: SDG

Service Learning in the MYP

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (Global Goals) are a natural connection to MYP Service Learning and the curriculum.

  • SDG's can help shape projects and units of inquiry.
  • SDG-related data can help students determine needs and what is already being done about them.
  • Connection through the SDG's can tune learners into the wider community engaged in Service As Action.

An easy entry-point into connecting SDG's to Service Learning Projects is to see how well students can identify the underlying issues in their own ideas.
