  • For all performing artists, the challenge is to develop a range of individual and ensemble skills while singing or playing instruments.

  • How practicing a range of techniques is essential to performing artists

  • How can physical elements affect a voice?

  • What is the role of performing artists in passing along culture and tradition?
  • What are the basic drumming techniques and rhythms?
  • How is aural tradition important in drumming?

  • Composers create music that challenges and communicates with their audience.

  • The significance of audience response to a composer's choices and expression or emotion
