AI for Faculty: AI Competencies

AI Competencies

The changes brought about by Gen AI require us all to learn and model ethical use of this technology to support our learners.  It also requires teachers to integrate appropriate AI instruction where possible in the classroom.  This scope and sequence provides a structured approach to developing AI literacy across all grade levels, ensuring that learners build a foundational understanding in addition to advanced ethical and practical applications. The sequence encourages critical thinking, ethical awareness, and the practical application of AI, preparing students to engage with AI thoughtfully and responsibly in their future academic, professional, and personal lives

WAB's AI Competencies are aligned with UNESCO's Competency Framework for Students. Find out more about WAB's connections with UNESCO's work at the bottom of this page.
