WAB Blogs: Commenting and Subscribers

Tutorials and instructions on how to use WAB's self-hosted WordPress Blogs.

Leaving Comments and using the Email Subscriber

Comments are how visitors to your blog can leave feedback on your content. All blogs come with an email subscriber widget that will notify subscribers via email of any new posts that are published.

Leaving a comment on a blog

If you’d like to leave a comment on a blog, follow these easy steps:

  1. Make sure you are logged in to your own blog. This means you won’t need to enter your name and email each time.

2. Visit a post and click on the speech bubble.

3. Leave your reply and click ‘Post Comment.’

Cancel Email Subscribers to your Blog

Did you have a bunch of parents subscribe to your blog last year and you want to cancel their subscriptions?

This is how you do it.

  1. Log onto your blog
  2. Dashboard>subscriptions>subscribers
  3. Select all using the top selector box.
  4. Bulk action>Cancel subscription
  5. Apply

Approving Blog Comments

When someone leaves a comment on your blog, you need to approve it before it displays under the post. Here’s how:

  1. Login to your blog and click on the speech bubble.
  2. Comments that need approving are highlighted red. Click approve, trash or even leave a reply to the person who left the comment.
  3. Click on ‘View post’ to view the comment on your blog.
  4. You can see the comment under your post.
