Organization of the Day

8:30-8:50 am Getting ready - All MS/HS students go to Mentors to get ready or finish signups (explore the website for resources to share with students)

9:00-9:30 am WS Opening ceremony in ES Gym - Video and songs

9:45-10:15am Community Members Spark Talks

10:20-11:00am Workshops 1 (offered to MSHS students by MS teachers)

11:00-11:20am Break

11:20am-12:00pm Workshops 2 (offered to MSHS students by MS teachers)

12:00-1:10pm Lunch and exhibitions

1:10-1:50pm Workshops 3 (HS student clubs/HS Teachers/ES workshops)

2:00-2:40pm Workshops 4  (HS student clubs/HS teachers/ES workshops)

2:50-3:20pm Closing ceremony (spark talk, performance) WS assembly

Community Partner Presenters

Our community partners have been invited to participate in our Peace Day celebration. The purpose is to share the amazing work they are doing to further SDG goals as well as motivate our students by sharing what inspired them to 'make a difference'. Currently, the following organizations will present 15-minute presentations with 10 minutes of open Q&A.

Afternoon Workshops

We need your help to offer a variety of meaningful experiences for students throughout the school with hands-on, active workshops. The goal is to foster connections and an opportunity for students and staff to connect with peers and colleagues throughout the entire WAB community. 

  • You can design your activity for any age group(s). 
  • Decide on the number of student participants.
  • Activities must be a minimum of 40 minutes and a maximum of 80 minutes. There are two 40-minute blocks. 
  • Once you decide on the activity, add it to MyTime.

There are a variety of types of activities that you can organize or participate in:

๐ŸŒณ Collaborate with a community partner to offer a workshop on an SDG or Peace topic

๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿฝ Partner with an ES or EY class and collaborate on an SDG or Peace activity

๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿป‍๐ŸŒพ Offer your own workshop on an SDG or Peace topic 

๐ŸŒ Support a student club or individual/group of students offering a workshop on an SDG or Peace topic
