Summer is just around the corner, and now is the best time to start planning your summer reading list. Whether you're looking for a gripping thriller, a heartwarming romance, or a thought-provoking non-fiction book to expand your mind, there are plenty of great options to choose from.

To help you get started, we've carefully selected some of the best summer reads for you to consider:

Any Day with You by Mae Respicio: This novel tells the story of a 12-year-old girl who forms a deep emotional bond with her grandmother as she searches for her family history and cultural heritage.

Zentangle Art Therapy by Anya Lothrop: This book offers a therapeutic approach to creativity through the practice of Zentangle, a form of meditative drawing that can help reduce stress and anxiety.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins: This is a prequel to The Hunger Games series, and tells the story of young Coriolanus Snow before the 10th Hunger Games.

What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera: This novel tells the story of two boys who meet in New York City and embark on a quest to find love.

Where Have All the Birds Gone? by Rebecca E. Hirsch: This non-fiction book explores the reasons behind the global decline in bird populations, and what people can do to protect these precious creatures.

These are just a few selections from the many great books that you can add to your summer reading list. The good news is that you won't have to wait long to start borrowing them. WAB summer reading borrowing will be open next week. Parents can check out from MS/HS library books either 8:30 -11:30 AM or 1:00 - 3:00 PM from June 12th to June 15th (Monday - Thursday). Please wear your WAB Parent ID card.

During this time, you can borrow up to 10 books at a time, so you can keep your reading list full. If you're not sure what to read next, check Summer Reading 2023 for some inspiration or explore more information from here.

So don't wait any longer, start planning your summer reading list and get ready to dive into some great books!
