Earth Day is an annual event that is celebrated on April 22nd  to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage people to take action to protect the planet.

We all know there are a lot issues and difficulties in the world today, but we'd like to focus on the positive developments, find hope, and take some local action on campus. You can find books about the theme from this list.

As a parent, you can use this day to teach your children about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability.

Children's books: There are many children's books that can help your child learn about environmental issues and sustainability. Some great examples include "The Lorax" by Dr. Seuss, "Earth Heroes" by Lily Dyu, and "Our House is on Fire: Greta Thunberg's Call to Save the Planet" by Jeanette Winter.

Online resources: There are many online resources available that can help your child learn about environmental issues, such as National Geographic Kids, NASA Climate Kids, and the World Wildlife Fund. These websites offer a variety of educational videos, games, and activities that can help your child learn about the environment in a fun and engaging way.

Nature walks: Take your family on a nature walk to explore the natural world and learn about local flora and fauna. You can also use this opportunity to teach your child about Leave No Trace principles and the importance of respecting the environment.

Eco-friendly crafts: Encourage your child to get creative with eco-friendly crafts, such as using recycled materials to make art or creating a compost bin for your kitchen. This can be a great way to teach your child about sustainability while also fostering their creativity.

Sustainable living: Teach your child about sustainable living by making small changes in your daily routine, such as reducing water consumption, using reusable bags and containers, and turning off lights when they're not in use.

Incorporating Earth Day into your family's routine can help your child develop a deeper appreciation for the environment and the importance of sustainability. By using these resources, you can help your child learn about environmental issues in a fun and engaging way that will stay with them for years to come.
